Southlake boasts a diverse and robust business community which offers a wide array of products and services for residents, as well as attractions for visitors. The City’s thriving economy did not occur by accident, but as a result of long-term, strategic planning efforts by city leaders and residents. To continue the City’s history of managed, steady growth, the Economic Development and Tourism Department (EDT) recruits new companies to Southlake and works hard to retain our existing businesses.
Most importantly, the success of the City’s economic development efforts can be seen in the continual increase in the non-residential tax base. The rising business and sales tax revenues continue to permit the City to rely less on the home owner for City programs and services.
